Hardwood Tailor’s Clapper will make perfectly
pressed seams for quilting or sewing.
What's old is new again. And no, you don't
whack or clap the fabric - clappers have been
around for over 120 years (started maybe in England?)
It helps remove moisture from fabric to have flat,
crisp seams. It is made of hardwood and has grooves
to hold comfortably. Press your seam with your steam iron;
then, while warm, apply the tailor’s clapper and use
firm pressure to set the seam.
Use them on quilt blocks or garments for
seams, creases and pleats.
